Making Dentures

Full or partial tooth loss, if left untreated, doesn’t just affect a person’s self-image-it can also increase the risk of developing nutritional problems and other systemic health disorders. Fortunately, there is a reliable and time-tested method for treating this condition. Dentures can be fabricated for almost all patients who are missing teeth. There are many different types of dentures available and with the advancements in dental implants, we are able to offer dentures that are anchored by implants. Unsure of what type of denture you need? No problem, we are here to help guide you through the process and outline your treatment needs!

Types of Dentures

Immediate Dentures

These dentures are fabricated while teeth are still present. This allows our doctors to predict where your denture teeth will need to be placed. On your last day of treatment you will enter our office with your natural failing teeth and leave with your denture. You will never have to go a day without having your front teeth! This is a well liked denture option but it does come with some drawbacks. Because our doctors are predicting how your bone and tissues will heal after extractions a denture re-line will most likely be needed within the first year of fabrication. This is a simple one day procedure that would tighten the fit of the immediate denture.

Conventional Full Dentures

These dentures are made for patients who are already missing all their teeth. Our doctors work closely with our local Brookfield based dental laboratory to ensure every step of your denture fabrication is perfect. Our doctors love working with you to design your perfect smile. We can even replicate your smile from old photographs! When your dentures are made we custom fit them to ensure they are comfortable and functional.

Implant-Supported Overdentures

If a patient does not have a lot of bone to support a denture it can be difficult to perfectly fit that denture. To increase the stability of a denture sometimes it is recommended to have dental implants placed to help anchor the denture. Our patients are usually amazed at how well they feel after upgrading to an implant supported denture. These dentures offer exceptional value as well as comfort.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are made for patients who are missing some teeth but have otherwise healthy, well supported teeth in other areas. A partial denture is fabricated to clip onto the stable teeth and allow for the prosthesis to function as natural teeth. These dentures are made in a very similar fashion to conventional dentures and can be modified in many ways!
